A Floom skill is a folder package — SKILL.md plus optional references/, examples/, scripts/, and assets/ folders. Only SKILL.md is required. The folder format makes skills versioned, self-contained, and native to each agent tool.
Agents live in your terminal. The CLI installs skills exactly where your agent expects them — no copy-pasting, no drag-and-drop. The web is just for browsing and sign-in.
Claude Code and Codex CLI are fully supported at launch. Cursor, Kimi, and Gemini work via MCP or manual path install. Adapter support is expanding.
Skills are stored on Floom's cloud library as your account source of truth. A local lockfile records what's installed on each machine. You control what you publish — private skills never leave your account unless you share them.
Yes. The CLI, MCP server, and skill format are MIT licensed. The cloud hosting is a managed service.
